Beauty of the Human Spirit

What is the human spirit? A question that begs a thousand answers indeed! Suffice to say, one can interpret it the way one desires. In this article, it is simply the human creating a sculpture that brings smile to me and many others who went to this exhibition.

Clay sculptures of people smiling and being happy are shown at the Soka Association in Tampines St 81 in Singapore. These eye catching pieces are brougnt in by my ex-colleague, Ravinder Singh whom I have written about in another previous article. The sculptor was shown next to Ravinder, as he shook hand with the President of the Soka Association, with the presentation of a specially sculptured piece of Dr. Ikeda, the founder of this buddhism practice.

The sculpture gave a demonstration on the technique on making the sculpture, and if any insight can be drawn is really that it can be learnt! He has several students under his charge, and indeed, many of the pieces were done by them in this exhibition.

I will place more photographs in my picasa web album, which URL is under the "Links I liked." The web albums depict journey of sight which is personal to me, just as you have your own. I hope by sharing such journies, we can have that simple insight that living a good life, with a sustainable consumption, we can make this world last better for the next generation. Such perhaps is the beauty of human nature!

A Blog that Integrates

As I experiment with blogspot which is part of iGoogle, I am beginning to feel its power to integrate. The article on Natural Cure, is posted directly from Google Docs (Beta) in which the original resides. This is the first time I attempted this action, and it works seamlessly. I can now easily write an article in word document, store it in Google Docs (Beta), and then publish it to my blog. If you go to the Links on the left and click on the "Pictorial Journey" you are immediately taken to Picasa, which is also part of iGoogle. In this photo storage, you are able to see what I have put in as public photos. You can also have private photos which are not shared. I have not tried video, as it takes time to edit for something that is worth sharing. Google has purchased YouTube for a few billion dollars, and this means you can integrate video as well. I am sure it can be linked to e-Bay which you buy and sell your stuffs and many more. I have to keep this experiment going to opti...

Samsung Omnia i900 - ActiveSync and Productivity

Upgraded the firmware as I noted that the camera is taking very bad pictures. The auto mode on white balance does not produce the color tones. In fact, as I stated in my feedback to Samsung; that the pictures produced such whitish colors as if the people are 'dead'! This is unfortunate, as the output is worst than my previous Nokia N73. After the firmware changed (PHONE/PDA: i900DXHJ1/DZHJ1), the pictures from the camera is a lot closer to the original color tones. This is the good news. The bad news is obviously that I have to reinstall all the files and external programs. The ActiveSync initially would not work, and I went to Samsung at Vivocity (Singapore) to talk to the folks there. Finally got it working again, where I can synchronize with my Outlook, where all the phone database is. I cannot sync with the server, as the corporate server is highly secured. The synchronization of the phone and Outlook (my work "portal") is the key to ensuring I have the critical d...
